I'm back with 'day two in Madrid (evening edition)' - happy Saturday! This week has been an extremely amazing one - good things do come in threes! I've been at my work for a month and I love every single minute of it. I'm so proud to be a part of the company that focuses on being at the top of their game without compromising their level of kindness/positive attitude/love to their staff.

The second thing is...

I'm unbelievably happy and a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I was originally aiming for a 1st so naturally, I am slightly disappointed in myself but I honestly thought that I had made a complete mess of things this year. For one, I chose to do a few of my final modules on two subjects that I had never even studied before at university/college (English Literature and Television) which was extremely challenging to say the least (with me panicking about the whole final year thing anyway). I wasn't at the right place both mentally and physically to focus on the subjects as much as I should have either and chose to prioritise my internship and finding a job first. I also had to nurse myself back to health as I completely ruined my body from all the stress that I inflicted upon myself from panicking about my future and job prospects. Boo. I ended up in hospital at one point from all the stress which wasn't very nice but that's another story! I am so happy that this chapter of my life is now coming to an end and it's finishing on a great note. You're now looking at someone who's completed an English Language & Communication with Creative Writing degree! YAY! :) Does that officially make me a certified linguist and a writer?!

The third thing is that I've reached 7000 subscribers on my YouTube channel! SAY WHAT?! It baffles me that even 10 people would want to listen to me waffle on and prance around like a fool so to think that erm... seven thousand people would want to... I need to sit down. Thank you thank you thank you. If some of you have come from my channel, thank you so much for watching, liking, commenting and supportin'. Reading your feedback, comments, tweets and emails makes me grin from ear to ear - thank you for always being such a lovely bunch of people! ALSO, thank you for reading this little blog on the internet too and to STILL linger around to read these waffley descriptions! Give yourself a hug from me. End of the cheese now.

The long-winded introduction is now over...

Onto the outfit...

Forget about your favourite little black dress, it's ALL WHITE to wear head to toe in the lighter hue (sorry, I couldn't resist a good pun opportunity). What better way to embrace summer's biggest trend than being in Madrid with glorious sunshine? It would have been rude not to.

Now, it can get slightly intimidating to be dressed in an array of bright white clad. The use of prints, textures and patterns will help to conquer this, win the battle and get the girl. We've seen the trend worked mostly in an androgynous manner all over the catwalks but it doesn't necessarily have to always translate back onto our everyday attire.

Swap tailored white trousers for a skater skirt instead. It's season appropriate, helps to emphasise your waist, has the right amount of 'flowiness' for those humid nights and it does a great job of dressing up a white vest top. The floral print is darn cute too and helps to break up the monotone madness if you will. Using solely bright white helps the colours stand out too whether that's from a print or an assortment of accessories.

One may argue that this outfit is more suitable for the daytime and I wholeheartedly agree which is why I rectified it with a curly mop of hair and a slick of the most glamourous red lipstick that I could find in the depths of my makeup bag. Voila! There's a day to night outfit right there and there wasn't even any changing involved...
What other benefits does a skater skirt have?

Why, to hide a food baby of course!

We strolled out of our hotel room at 10pm and went on a little walk down to Plaza Mayor. We have the Spanish way of living down. Eating dinner at 10:30 in the evening?

Back home: 'Craziness! What a load of poppycock!'

Eating the above dishes would normally have been my ultimate nightmare but on this particular occasion, I didn't want to care. Carbs galore, come at me. I was on holiday, I was in a different state of mind and the food was heavenly! We ordered patatas bravas, a WHOLE Spanish omelette (what were we thinking?), ham croquettes, a roll of bread each and a few alcoholic beverages. It's always the simple things... it was simply delicious.

There we have it!

The evening of day two is over, I still have day three and four to go!

By the time you read this, I'll hopefully be tanning on the beach or getting some shopping done as I'm back home for the weekend to spend the sunshine filled days with Jordan and my sisters! Hurrah. I'm really looking forward to a big catch up :)

I hope you all have a lovely day!
