i haven't updated this in ages but i hope all of you have had a lovely Christmas (if you celebrate it, if not, i hope you had a lovely time during the holidays), and New Year's! 2012 now.. woah. one of my new year's resolutions is to update this blog and my channel a lot more often, so expect to see a lot more outfit posts!
let's start off with one right now :)
this is what i wore on New Year's Eve:
this dress was purchased from asos.com and i got it on sale (dance and a clap please), if you're interested, you can find the dress here in black, blue or a mink colour! it was a bit daring for me with the cut outs as normally, it wouldn't've been something i'd wear but it was new year's eve and i want to be a lot more body confident so what the heck! the diet starts now with my holiday in July.. byebye crisps and junk!
i do absolutely love this dress though, everything from the bold colours to the sequin-ness (not a real word but just look at the sequins and forget about that)! i think it'll be versatile for all year round too so it definitely won't be the last time i'll be wearing this little number! i wore it with these amazing nude heels from New Look! they're actually my sister's but we're the same shoe size and pretty much share our wardrobes, hurrah! was contemplating this or black wedges but the nude shoes makes my legs look longer than they actually are and doesn't take any attention away from the dress itself. they're not shown in these photos those as i was a silly, but you can admire the fact that my toe nails match my dress? yeah? no? ok
i kept the accessories very simple so only had pearl earrings, a sparkly bracelet and my usual pearl ring and owl ring! hair was curled with the BaByliss conical wand (amazing) and the front sections were gripped back! Make-up was a lot of 'half baked' eyeshadow smoked out with 'dark horse' eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Naked palette with the Eylure Cheryl false eyelashes and nude lips!
shall now share a few photos from last night!
we (Jord and I) went over to a friend's house for dinner then celebrations afterwards! the dinner was actually amazing and the amount of effort they put into this dinner absolutely paid off as it was perfect! they dressed up in sombrero hats, fake moustaches and came out with plates of Mexican food shaking their maracas to Mexican music! i would attach the image but i'm not sure whether they'd want me to share but just be assured that the dinner couldn't've gone more perfect! we had cake for dessert and lots of snacks, homemade cocktails and sparklers after :)
was such a perfecto night to bring in the New Year's and i'm so thankful to spend it with such lovely people! what did you guys do during New Year's?! i'll stop rambling now and end this post with the world's best dog.. Bud's not even my dog but my boyfriend's but shhhh :)
